Mackay, Katherine Alexander Duer (9 May 1879–19 Apr. 1930), suffragist and writer, was born in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, the only child of William Alexander Duer and Ellin Mole Travers Duer. The family lineage counted a delegate to the Continental Congress, a Supreme Court justice, and two presidents of Columbia University.
