Parseghian, Ara (21 May 1923–2 Aug. 2017), football coach at the University of Notre Dame, was born Ara Raoul Parseghian in Akron, Ohio to Michael Parseghian, a rubber factory worker, who in 1915 fled the Armenian genocide in Turkey, and Amelia Bonneau Parseghian, a French orphan he romanced through overseas correspondence....
