Montemayor, Alice Dickerson (6 Aug. 1902–13 May 1989), Mexican American feminist and civil rights activist, was born Alice Dickerson Barrera in Laredo, Texas to John Randolph, a railroad engineer of Irish descent, and Manuela Barrera Dickerson, a housewife of Mexican descent.
