Henderson, Alice Corbin (16 April 1881–18 July 1949), poet and author, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Fillmore Mallory Corbin and Lulu Hebe. After her mother died from tuberculosis in 1884, Alice moved frequently among family members.
