Woodbridge, Frederick James Eugene (26 March 1867–01 June 1940), philosopher and educator, was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the son of James Woodbridge, a king’s counselor, and Melissa Ella Bingham. Woodbridge’s father, also publisher of the Essex Journal, moved in 1868 to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to administer the Michigan Asylum.
