Iglesias, Santiago (22 February 1872–05 December 1939), labor organizer and Puerto Rico's territorial representative in Congress, labor organizer and Puerto Rico’s territorial representative in Congress, was born in La Coruña, Spain, the son of Manuel Iglesias, a carpenter, and Josefa Pantín. At age twelve, when his father died, he became a carpenter’s apprentice.
