Tudor, William (28 March 1750–08 July 1819), lawyer and first judge advocate of the Continental army, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Deacon John Tudor, a prominent Boston merchant, and Jane Varney. William received his A.B. from Harvard in 1769 after a brief period of suspension resulting from his role as a leader in a student revolt against the faculty.
