Malone, Maud (1873–7 February 1951), suffragist and librarian, was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Dr. Edward Malone and Annie Flynn Malone. Her Irish immigrant father and his brother, Father Sylvester Malone, worked for the causes of emancipation, Irish freedom, ballot reform, and anti-poverty crusades, animated by a strong but ecumenical religious faith.
