Henderson, Charles Richmond (17 December 1848–29 March 1915), sociologist and minister, was born in Covington, Indiana, the son of Albert Henderson and Loraine Richmond. Henderson received an A.B. from the University of Chicago in 1870 and a B.D. (1873) and a D.D. (1875) from the Baptist Union Theological Seminary. After graduating from the seminary, he was ordained and became the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1873.
