Harrison, Anna (25 July 1775–25 February 1864), first lady to President William Henry Harrison, first lady to President William Henry Harrison, was born Anna Tuthill Symmes near Morristown, New Jersey, the daughter of John Cleves Symmes, a New Jersey Supreme Court justice and Revolutionary War soldier, and Anna Tuthill Symmes. After her mother died in 1776, she was reared by her father and her maternal grandparents.
