Madar, Olga Marie (17 May 1915–16 May 1996), labor union feminist, was born in Sykesville, Pennsylvania, the ninth of thirteen children of Paul Madar and Anna (Seman) Madar, both of whom were Czechoslovakian immigrants. Her father, originally a coal miner, later owned and operated a grocery store with his wife.
