Crosby, Elizabeth Caroline (25 October 1888–28 July 1983), neuroanatomist, was born in Petersburg, Michigan, the daughter of Lewis Frederick Crosby and Frances Kreps. Crosby attended public grade school and high school in Petersburg. Promised four years of college by her father for her good grades, she enrolled in Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, completing the requirements for the B.S. degree (1910) in only three years.
