Mulligan, Gerry (06 April 1927–20 January 1996), baritone saxophonist, composer, and arranger, nicknamed Jeru, was born Gerald Joseph Mulligan in Queens, New York City, the son of George Mulligan, a management engineer, and Louise Shannon Mulligan.
