Lamb, William Frederick (21 November 1883–08 September 1952), architect, was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of William Lamb, a builder, and Mary Louise Wurster. After receiving a bachelor of arts degree from Williams College in 1904, Lamb studied architecture at Columbia University from 1904 to 1906. As was the aspiration of the advanced students of architecture of his day, however, Lamb soon left New York for Paris, France, to study at the École des Beaux-Arts, receiving his diploma in 1911....
