Wiggin, Albert Henry (21 February 1868–21 May 1951), banker, was born in Medfield, Massachusetts, the son of James Henry Wiggin, a Unitarian minister, and Laura Newman. After graduating from Boston’s English High School in 1885, he went to work as a runner for J. B. Moors & Company and, eight months later, for another Boston bank, the National Bank of the Commonwealth, headed by his uncle. He rose to bookkeeper a year later. At twenty-three he became assistant to the national bank examiner in Boston. In 1892 he married Jessie Duncan Hayden, daughter of a Boston banker. They had two children. He was named assistant cashier of the Third National Bank of Boston in 1894, and from 1897 to 1899 he was vice president of the Eliot National Bank of Boston....
