Bunting, Robert Franklin (09 May 1828–19 September 1891), pioneer Presbyterian minister and Confederate chaplain, was born in Hookstown, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, the only surviving child of John and Margaret (née Moody) Bunting. As a boy, Bunting was greatly influenced by two maternal uncles—one, a minister in Ohio, the other, the ruling elder of Mill Creek Presbyterian Church in Beaver County, where young Bunting was baptized....
