Tucker, Henry St. George (16 July 1874–08 August 1959), clergyman, was born in Warsaw, Richmond County, Virginia, the son of Beverley Dandridge Tucker, an Episcopal priest (later bishop of Southern Virginia), and Anna Maria Washington, the last of her family to be born at Mount Vernon. An outstanding student, Tucker was educated at the Norfolk Academy, the University of Virginia (B.A. and M.A., 1895), and the Protestant Episcopal Theological Seminary in Virginia (B.D., 1899). He was ordained to the priesthood on 30 July 1899....
