Felton, Rebecca Latimer (10 June 1835–24 January 1930), reformer and women's activist, reformer and women’s activist, was born in De Kalb County, Georgia, the daughter of Charles Latimer, a locally prominent planter and merchant, and Eleanor Swift. She attended a private community school before entering boarding school and finally the Madison Female College, from which she graduated in 1852.
