Britton, Jack (14 October 1885–27 March 1962), professional boxer, was born William James Breslin near Clinton, New York, the son of Charles Breslin, a day laborer, and Eliza Jane Sweet. He lived in Oneida County, New York, and New Britain, Connecticut, until he was ten years old, when his family moved to Chicago.
