Galli, Rosina (1896–30 April 1940), ballerina and ballet mistress of the Metropolitan Opera, was born in Milan, Italy. Little is known of her parents or early life. Trained at the Scuola di Ballo of the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Galli distinguished herself early as an unusually precocious and popular child performer.
